I want to share something with everyone who's signed this petition, because I think you deserve to know what's actually happening behind the scenes.

In February, I sent a formal safeguarding concern to Ellen Wilkinson School for Girls. A 6-storey building is being proposed 350 metres from their playground. 1,400 students. I asked whether a safeguarding assessment had been considered.

No reply.

I submitted an EIA screening request to Ealing Council. At 190 units, the law requires the council to respond within three weeks. They haven't.

I wrote to our ward councillors. Nothing.

Three separate institutions. Three separate requests. Zero responses.

We're not asking anyone to block this development. We're asking three straightforward questions: Can local GPs cope? Is the school safe? Are the roads safe? And right now, nobody in a position of authority will even engage with those questions.

Here's what we do know: Hanger Lane already handles over 100,000 vehicles a day. Air quality monitoring there has recorded pollution levels that breach legal limits. Our ward has the highest proportion of over-65 residents in the entire borough — the people who need GP access most.

We're at 441 signatures. 59 more gets us to 500, which is when Change.org starts recommending this petition to thousands more local people.

If you've already signed — thank you. But I need to ask you for one more thing. Share this petition on Facebook or Nextdoor or wherever you share today. Not next week. Today. One share could be the difference.
