Hello everybody, 

As it looks like the only opportunity you will have to address the parish council if you attend the next meeting on 11th July at 7pm will be at the start when the public are allowed to speak, I thought it helpful to suggest some questions you might raise and statements you might make.

1. It is not in keeping with the objectives of the Parish Council to decline to hear the petition. Residents opinions must be heard.
2. Why, if the Parish Council is carrying forward a balance of £281,000, which is over the recommended upper limit of 12 months expenditure, did the Council vote to collect a further £97,000 this year.
3. Can the Parish Council explain why the precept is higher than neighbouring parishes of similar size?
4. Do the Parish Council compare costs with neighbouring Parishes, and have they considered co-contracting to reduce costs? 

I anticipate that there may be attendees with the intention of running down the clock on the 20 minutes set aside for the public. Please make yourselves heard, and ensure that nobody is allowed to speak for more than three minutes.
