We were invited to attend the International Avaya Users Group annual conference in Dallas the past three days and boy was it a learning experience. There were hundreds of Telecom companies there to push their product and after quizzing numerous 911 service providers I discover that there are a lot of hoops to jump through in order to make 911 consistent across the U.S. Right now I see on other alternative BUT to pass legislation laying out the guidelines that each state should adhere to the same protocols concerning readilt available access and performance of 911 system and PSAP'S across America.
