Our request was denied! Ask the District Manager to please reconsider!

It is clear their opinion of our neighborhood continues to be that we don't matter as much as our affluent neighbors.  Please write to the FL District 2 Manager, Richard Fermo to ask his to please reconsider the neighborhood's request to convert our route from mixed delivery to a park and loop.  Most importantly, he has a unique opportunity to rectify an instance of classism. This is a missed opportunity to enhance the USPS's reputation and role as a trusted face of the federal government. 

Mr. Fermo has stated that "It is (his) responsibility to make sure that modes of delivery services at any address are delivered safely, efficiently and be conveniently served by our carriers." He is forgetting his responsibility to his customers. If efficiency were the issue then the affluent neighborhoods in my city would be receiving their mail by truck as well. Efficiency isn't the issue, class discrimination is. The wealthy neighborhood of Lake Hollingsworth for example has almost no sidewalks, is full of hills, and homes are built much further from the street and on wider lots than my neighborhood. The Camphor Heights neighborhood has literally zero sidewalks. Please stop pretending this is about safe, efficient, and convenient service. A park and loop in Dixieland would be safer, more efficient, and more convenient for a carrier than it ever would be in Lake Hollingsworth or Camphor Heights.
