Back in 2014, at the time of Interstellar's release, Hyderabad used to see headlines like this, not just in the Hyderabadi region but across India. It was a time when Prasads IMAX, the only screen in the country equipped for 70mm film and immersive IMAX format, allowed movie enthusiasts to experience Christopher Nolan's space exploration epic as intended. However, for the past few years, we haven't had the chance to view anything in true IMAX presentation, nor have we generated such headlines.

This flashback reminds us of the glory that Hyderabad once had, where people from different cities traveled to experience the magnificence of IMAX screenings. It is disheartening that we, in our own Telugu state, cannot witness the cinematic marvels and humongous magnum opuses with IMAX releases like other regions can.

We appeal to all readers to share this petition with their social media groups and friends, as every signature counts in our quest to bring back the glory of the cinematic experience to Hyderabad. Let us join hands and make our voices heard, urging the authorities to provide us with at least one IMAX theater, so we can once again relish the magic of larger-than-life cinema in our beloved city.
