📊 PCMC Property Tax Collection – Q1 Highlights (FY 2025–26):

According to recent reports, PCMC has achieved record-breaking tax collection in just 3 months:

💰 ₹522 Crore collected in Q1 – a historic high

👥 Over 4.12 lakh citizens paid their property tax dues

🏘️ Wakad alone contributed ₹65.11 crore, the highest among all wards

📌 Comparison with PMC (Pune Municipal Corporation):

Meanwhile, PMC has offered a 40% rebate on property tax for self-occupied homes. This led to ₹1,244.5 crore collection from 7.1 lakh+ property holders between May 1 and June 30.

Why can’t PCMC provide similar benefits to us?

We request PCMC to either:

1. Introduce a 40% rebate for self-occupied residential properties (just like PMC), OR

2. Revise tax calculation based on FSI consumed instead of market value — and choose the lower of the two, in favor of residents.
