Huge thank you to all who signed the petition I never thought we would see such an overwhelming amount of support.
Today Senator Chase Blasi, amended a bill to include a version of what we are searching for in SB515, in the Kansas Senate. Tomorrow morning it goes to vote before the Senate to be passed, and then would head to the House for Vote, in which hopefully the governor would sign and make it law.
I strongly encourage you to contract your legislatures in the Kansas House and Senate and an urge them to pass Senate Bill 515. The bill is up for vote at 8am, tomorrow in the Senate. Act now! Email them and continue to share this petition, inform your religious leaders and get them to help collect more signatures. Many of our legislatures are aware of this petition and are watching. Hopefully when it passes, we can send this petition to our Governor as well and get her to sign the bill! All hands-on deck!
