Urgent... Previously I haven't made public any photos of the Western hwy gums, as respect for the traditional owners. The powers that be have annouced only 2 of the 100's of gums will be saved. Tree lovers please make your way to Djab Wurrung Country, Western hwy Ararat to continue to stand by and protect these irreplaceable gums. This tree is one of the most culturally significant trees in that landscape known as a Directions Tree estimated to be around 350 years old, others are up to 800 year old birthing and scar trees.
We sat beneath, laid near, slept and felt her magic, an incredibley unique gum that has been guarded unconditionally since a seedling and staunchly since June last year. FURTHER PROTECTION IS NEEDED!! ❤️

This magnificent 350 year old Directions tree full of spirit was saved on VicRoads first attempt to bring her down on 18 June 2017. Tomorrow, they plan to have another go. She needs masses of Protectors to be on ground at first light Tuesday 19 March 2019. Please help save her. Share this as widely as possible.
