Minister for Roads, Luke Donnellan and the Labour State Government are planning to destroy sacred trees that sit among a highly sensitive and significant landscape, as part of the VicRoads Western Highway duplication project. The current route interferes with cultural heritage and VicRoads has not presented satisfactory options to save the trees and the surrounding areas. We demand that Ministerial approvals of the current route be revoked and that a process for an alternative route be initiated.
