STOP PRESS STOP PRESS STOP PRESS These irreplaceable amazing trees are still standing. These ancients give very real, very strong, purpose and reason to demand the Andrews Government "move the road". WHAM and Keep the Original Route Supporters Inc (KORS Inc) have worked incredibly hard, and have proven on the government's own terms that VicRoads' route is a poor choice. The alternative route named the Northern Option is quicker, cheaper, and less destructive. This Northern Option leaves these culturally modified trees (CMTs) and many marked large old trees (LOTs) standing; and would not require massive earthworks as occurred at Box's Cutting.
