To the Administration and Board of Georgetown University,

This petition urges Georgetown University to immediately review the standing and affiliation of Marzieh Hosseini with the institution. 

Academic institutions are expected to foster open dialogue, civil engagement, and mutual respect. However, Ms. Hosseini has repeatedly engaged in public rhetoric that disrespects and demeans large segments of the Iranian community who support constitutional democracy and Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi. Furthermore, promoting and aligning with controversial groups such as the Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK)—an organization widely rejected by the majority of Iranians—undermines the integrity and reputation of Georgetown University.

Promoting extremist rhetoric and belittling the democratic aspirations of Iranian citizens is incompatible with the values upheld by higher education institutions. We call on Georgetown University to investigate these concerns and terminate any academic or professional affiliation with Marzieh Hosseini.
