Thanks to our collective efforts, BMC has begun operation clean-up at Powai Lake, belated though.

Over 2,800 environmental lovers signed this petition - we need more.

AMC Bangar had called for an urgent meeting and announced that the permanent solution is diversion of the sewer water from the lake.

BMC admits that as much as 18 MLD of sewer flows into the Lake. Horrendous to say the least.

We shall keep a constant watch on the developments and update you.

Meanwhile, request all to further strengthen this campaign and work towards declaring Powai Lake a protected wetland  and a conservation reserve.
