Welcome back Andris & Musicians to Symphony Hall!
Six months after this campaign began, Andris Nelsons and the Boston Symphony Orchestra are returning to Symphony Hall — and so are we.
This Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, the Red Flower Campaign and BSO Patron Action Network will be outside Symphony Hall welcoming Andris, the musicians, and audiences back for the new season.
We’re looking for volunteers to help distribute red flowers and keep this extraordinary community visible.
When:
Thursday, September 17 at 6:30 PM
Friday, September 18 at 12:30 PM
Saturday, September 19 at 7:00 PM
Where: Outside Symphony Hall
Meet us at the corner of St. Stephen Street and Massachusetts Avenue, with additional volunteers near the Huntington Avenue entrance. We’ll begin approximately one hour before each concert.
Come for an hour, wear red if you can, hand out flowers, talk with fellow patrons, and help us welcome the orchestra home.
Since March, more than 4,200 people have signed our petition and more than 12,500 red flowers have been distributed at Symphony Hall, Carnegie Hall, Tanglewood, and throughout the Berkshires.
The musicians’ new contract represents important progress, but it does not answer the questions that brought this community together. We continue to stand for Andris, for the musicians, for transparency and accountability from BSO leadership, and for a meaningful voice for the audiences who care so deeply about this institution.
The next chapter begins at Symphony Hall.
