Closing the Petition

After several months, I have decided to close this petition. I believe that these changes are no less important than before, but due to the fact that few support the petition I think I need to leave this to others who can carry this message further. In the wake of the 2016 presidential election, I feel that reform of the process is needed more than ever. The fact that a candidate could steamroll much better candidates and carry momentum through the rest of the process indicates that there needs to be a way for candidates to stay viable longer through the process. I feel that the suggestions here help to do this. Of course, there may be better suggestions, and I look forward to others being put forward.
