We are fast approaching the end of the calendar year and the New Year Honours List 2026 will be published. What surprises await us? Wouldn’t it be fantastic if this year’s list saw only those who truly met the following criteria being recognised? ie those:

• People with outstanding public life achievement
• Individuals who have made life better in the UK
• People who are exceptional in their field.
