It’s two weeks since I last posted an update. I am so excited (and immensely grateful) that the number of signatures continues to grow. Currently, the number stands at well over 56,000.

The next target is 60k, which at 2/3s of the way to that magic 100,000 figure (final target) seems both achievable but aspirational!

When you’re out and about with family, friends or even just passing the time of day in company, please consider highlighting the petition. (An easy way to share it is via the QR code which, as the tech-savvy will already know, allows anyone with a device (phone, iPad etc) connected to WiFi to take a photo of the code which then takes that person directly to the petition.)

At some point in the next few weeks/ months, Rishi Sunak will announce the date of the next General Election. Let’s ensure this issue is one that gets put on the agenda to be debated and updated so that the UK Honours System honours those who really deserve recognition: ie ordinary people doing extraordinary things!
