Edging towards 54,000 signatures in less than 4 weeks, we are well on the way to achieving that critical number of 100,000 signatures, at which point the petition becomes eligible to be debated in Parliament.

‘Victory’, however, is less about securing a set number of signatures (though this is necessary to ensure a response from government) than seeing an open, honest and constructive debate around our current UK Honours System and that leading to the establishment of an Independent Honours Commission which is fair, relevant and free from political influence.
