My focus for silent fireworks only to be sold to the public.

It’s time to put lives and welfare before profit.

When I first launched this petition, my focus was largely on alternatives like light and drone displays. But over time, looking at the real impact on our community, my mindset has shifted to the heart of the issue, we need a complete ban on retailers selling loud, explosive fireworks to the public.
There are so many incredible low noise and silent fireworks available today that deliver all the beauty without the terrifying, sensory overload blasts. Yet, year after year, high decibel fireworks line retail shelves weeks in advance.

The reality is that people don’t just set them off on bonfire night itself. For weeks on end, our pets live in terror, local wildlife is displaced, livestock are injured, and vulnerable people including veterans and those with sensory sensitivities are deeply distressed in their own homes.
If high street stores and supermarkets were restricted from selling loud fireworks, it would make a massive, life-saving difference across our towns and countryside.

It is time for retailers and legislators to step up.
