Hello Friends!
We are one away from reaching 500. Whoever it is, their name will be shared with all of you!
We had a friend sign the petition from Prince Rupert. She said, “I think people unfortunately think of the lower mainland as multicultural and the rest of BC as white rednecks (which granted are present) but truthfully, especially a town like Rupert is hugely multicultural particularly of indigenous nations. There's also significant immigrant populations from coastal communities from around the world. But one wouldn't know since those stories don't get told!”
So let’s focus on reaching out to friends and family in other parts of B.C. to make sure we are also representative of geographic equity amongst other intersections.
We hope to eventually present all the comments and signatures to the Board and the Ministry so write in to make sure you are heard!
It is a vital week for us as the Board of Knowledge Network meets on Thursday. Please keep supporting this petition - a different, inclusive and equitable world is just around the corner, if we work at it together.
Believe it.
(Now we sound like Ted Lasso !)
Happy Sunday.
In Solidarity!
