A recent conversation with an acquaintance reminded us that sometimes people need to know the kickstarters of the petition before they can support the cause.  

Equity Justice is not Anonymous, the hacktivist collective which specializes in cyber attacks against governments and corporations.

We are an artivist collective of POC+ women, queer & straight, with histories in film, theatre, non-profit arts management and social justice in British Columbia.

We adopted the name because we think justice and equity go hand in hand.  We embrace queer and disability rights as part of our struggle for a more inclusive leadership at our local public broadcaster. 

We would like to think of ALL of you as Equity Justice, people struggling together to build a more representative province where all our stories matter. Where the people who tell the stories are truly as diverse as the audience that receives them. Where we can trust the provincial broadcaster to be our authentic voice. 

We welcome your input. 

We encourage you to speak on our behalf. And push for change. Because we cannot do it alone.
