Hi everyone! 

Duke sent out an announcement today walking back their stated intent to bring back a mask mandate in the event that the CDC community level for Durham County, NC remained "high." Despite the CDC level not changing, the university now cites "declining trends" in cases on campus as a justification for not returning to mandatory masking in classrooms. 

We consider this a victory as the university has effectively back-peddled off of their stated policy and changed the metrics by which they make these decisions.

While we are celebrating the result, those of us who are opposed to mandates on campus will remain vigilant. Thank you for your support!
