Hello Supporters,

I continue to work on this initiative and am learning so many things as I continue to witness the impacts of the Monument Park project.

I just discovered the other day that on February 6th the BC Government website about the project has become a lot more comprehensive and inviting! I was fascinated realizing how the things I pointed out to decision-makers as the hypocrisy of the project have now been appropriated and manipulated in words to demonstrate to the BC public this is the best thing going!

I am including here an email I sent this afternoon along with my newest video project. In it I don't speak at all... I take the viewer on a site tour and convey many of the realities in slides and imagery only. Please read the video description with simple calls to action.

I hope this work is engaging for those who receive my updates. Prior videos have now been taken down, as I believe this different approach will be the most impactful by offering the full context for the viewer. I am not focusing on bringing more signatories to this campaign now. But if my videos can invite more witnesses to the present-moment reality who will also request accountability and truth-telling, this this the best I can ask for.

Blessings of the weekend,
Sally ✨

Dear Project Leaders and Connected Provincial and City Staff,

Please find a link here to a new video with a comprehensive site tour, so the public has the full context of what this project has imposed upon local citizens, including its concurrent desecration of the landscape ecology and excessive consumption of non-renewable resources.

We are sitting at a moment of Truth and Reconciliation for the whole province. See this Times Colonist 2021 article regarding attempts by the remaining Sisters of St. Ann’s to support the efforts of the Truth & Reconciliation Commission and to provide all archival records of what happened on the property to the BC Museum.

Will anyone speak the truth about the reality of what has been created, here and now? Can the public be offered real information about how a long-range mission of redress for past harms caused great harms to land and habitat, while local people could only stand by?
