We are now 41 Supporters!

Thank you so much. 🙏🏼

I'm sending a link to a nine-minute video I created, to give everyone in this Region of Victoria and beyond more context in terms of the landscape that has been impacted by the project. I talk at the old Park Map at Beacon Hill for the first five minutes or so, then share footage from the site and construction activity.

Tomorrow is a big day! Let's see how it all unfolds. 🦋

I have been consulting with a Wisdom Keeper from the Interior Coast Salish (Secwépemc Territory near my hometown of Kamloops) who has been my Teacher since October 2024. The son of one of the Spaltsin Nation's Hereditary Chiefs (she is 92 now!), my teacher Quimalts is deeply active in matters related to governance, recovery of the health of his people and lands desecrated by colonial impacts. He has been an incredible support to assist me in understanding the greater context of why this endeavour I've thrown myself into matters, for not only my own community but All Beings.

Quimalts is 68 now and has been through some horrific things in his life; he is capable of holding the grief of tragedy, while bringing humour in the perfect moments as part of a long range healing process. One time he made a joke: I have no less than 3000 stitches in my body.

A one-armed man who sustained injuries unimaginable to our thinking, he continues to be sought out by Indigenous leaders all over the world. He carries a nobility and depth capable of meeting people in the insightful heart of what humanity will become, as a prerequisite for the existence of future generations living in a world regenerating itself—a world of peace.

One of the most important teachings I received from him was in respect to continuing forward in one's path of service as devotion to the Whole.

👣 My Teacher says: "I can walk on my sore feet."

He guides me well. Smiling in the midst of exhaustion or pain becomes not only possible but natural.

If after seeing this video any supporters here have renewed energy for sharing and telling others so we can keep the support flowing in, it will mean so much. This transformation on the ground at St. Ann's will be precedent-setting for our future. Each person here is part of the transformation.

With appreciation and love,
Sally 💕
