The NHS Eastham Walk-in Centre will reopen from Monday 9 February 2026, following a safe staffing review by Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust. 

This decision came after weeks of pressure and public concern, and while other factors will have played a part, the 1,300+ signatures on this petition and the strength of feeling you showed clearly mattered.

What was meant to be a temporary four-week closure had become open-ended, risking the loss of a vital NHS service and forcing vulnerable patients to travel further for urgent care.

Thank you for taking the time to sign, share and speak up. This is a clear example of what collective action can achieve. I will continue to monitor the situation closely as services resume.
