Update on our meeting with Historic Royal Palaces

Good afternoon everyone, sorry for the late update. I'm very pleased to report that Tuesday's meeting with Historic Royal Palaces management went very well. The team empathised their predicament as a national private charity and the financial implications involved, the charity was forced to take out a £20MIL loan during the early stage of the pandemic and can only pay off the loan with incoming revenue. The good news is that the tourist market is re-emerging across London and the UK, and Hampton Court Palace is slowly improving on its finances. Despite the financial restraints, Historic Royal Palaces are listening and taking our campaign very seriously, ultimately, they do not want to impose costs where unnecessary, as such, they've agreed to work with us! :)

Historic Royal Palaces desperately wish to bring more volunteers into the palace, and I will be liaising with the campaign team and the team from HRP in the hope of helping them source volunteers. I will provide regular updates to supporters via our online petition regarding opportunities, we’re hopeful of offering opportunities over the next couple of weeks, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any enquiries or ideas. We’d like to hear from as many people as possible.

The battle is far from won, but we’re making inroads. Imperatively, Historic Royal Palaces are listening, and will keep listening. Take care everyone.
