Hi all

As you may have seen, there has been some progress this week with some facilities at Oxstalls reopening for clubs with existing bookings. 

While this is clearly welcome news, we are still a long way off from being able to declare victory. There are still swimmers without a pool, gymnasts without a gym, tennis players without any courts… and so the list goes on. 

This really is a crucial stage for our campaign - we cannot afford to let a little progress divert attention away from what continues to be a dire situation. We must keep up the momentum and keep pressing for action. 

If our petition reaches 10,000 signatures the Government will be required to respond (which in turn will pressure local politicians to act). We are already at nearly 7,000 signatures, so this is easily achievable. If everyone persuades just one other person to sign the petition we will smash the target!

So, please share the link again on your social media, put it on your What’s App chats and ask your friends and colleagues to sign. Let’s make sure they can’t ignore us!
