Councillors Ian Lewis and Lesley Rennie are finalising their 'Request to Reconsider' the closure of Grove Road and need your help again:
We're looking for evidence as to how this closure will affect you - whether as a local resident or business in the village.
Email ianlewis@wirral.gov.uk (including your name and address, but please state if you do NOT want your name published in the formal request) outlining how the closure affects you. Please send this by Friday 16 February to make sure it's included in the final document.
Legally, the Post Office is required to meet six ‘access criteria’ in return for £50m of annual taxpayer funding:

post office outlet; - 90% of the UK population to be within one mile of their nearest post
office outlet; - 99% of the total population in deprived urban areas across the UK to
be within one mile of their nearest post office outlet; - 95% of the total urban population across the UK to be within one
mile of their nearest post office outlet; - 95% of the total rural population across the UK to be within three
miles of their nearest post office outlet. - 95% of the population of every postcode district to be within six miles
of their nearest post office outlet.
We'll share the 'Request to Reconsider' with everyone who's signed and on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/newsforwallasey
