in the last 2 years since starting the petition to fight for a new and better cocos fresh food market toowoomba to reopen after a decade of asking and wishing alongside many that know the store between early 2000s and till 2014. its been a long journey to have the cherished store back. in the 2022 change.com petition. i added a long note about the history and nostagic terms about what shopping at cocos and the hooper center were really like before a fire happened in november 2013 but the center was able to trade again. thanks to a major refurbishment and redvelopment and reconstruction that saw not only pattons rebuilt by the whole center since the center was pretty old from the 80s and 20th times.  after we overheaed iga hooper center was closing on 28th feb on late thursday. aldis been trying to become the new lead supermarket for the center but everyone including us don.t want another aldi. this has clearly reopened plans to bring cocos back. the petition update is simpily a update on new ground movement been made but that doesnt mean its the finishline on the petition yet, theres still months before the decision is made on weather its gonna be aldi or a new cocos back to the center. were pleased if we hear cocos is making a huge comeback in the prime space where iga tookover back in 2015. even know in 2014. it was annouced cocos would return once works were finished but that changed in late 2014 when it was annouced the current iga would be built and all did. we all await on the excitment on hooper center shopping village on are new chapter. the new petition update is really criticle in-line with the new fight for reopening cocos.
