Please - ONLY Signatures From Monterey County Renters

Greetings supporters of RENTERS AGAINST RENT CONTROL. The great news is that with all of your help we have already gathered 27 signatures in just a few short days! Please continue to share the petition with renters in Monterey County who are against rent control and rental registries. City Council members in Salinas and Monterey say that they speak for the "unheard renters". What they won't acknowledge is that a lot of informed renters are against rent control, because they understand that it is not in their best interest due to harmful unintended consequences.

However, in order for council members to take the petition seriously, I need to ensure that the signatures on the petition are ONLY from Monterey County RENTERS. I see a few signatures that are either not renters, or not living in Monterey County. This will be a sure-fire way of getting both the petition and the RENTERS AGAINST RENT CONTROL organization discredited.

If you are not a RENTER or live outside of Monterey County PLEASE remove your signature via the confirmation email you originally received. At the bottom of the email, you will see the option: ”Didn't sign this petition? Remove your signature”.  To remove your signature, click on the link!
