Hello everyone!
We wanted to send another quick update regarding the repairs at Dunkirk Skatepark. We are happy to say that some repairs have been completed at the skatepark, mainly a “re-coating” of the asphalt surface. The skatepark was closed for a few weeks to complete these repairs and is now reopened.
Addressing the rough ground was undoubtedly the most important repair requested by the community and, even though we did not get the full resurfacing or concrete replacement that we advocated for, we are still glad to see some action being taken by Calvert County Parks and Rec to improve the safety and usability of the skatepark.
With that said, we want to encourage the public to share their thoughts with CCPR regarding the repairs. If you can, please visit the skatepark and let CCPR know your thoughts about the repairs and what still needs to be done. The best ways to reach CCPR with your feedback are:

As always, the community is what drives these efforts forward, so we would like to thank you again for your support. For more info on upcoming events, such as out free learn to skate lessons, please visit us at: somdskate.com
