Letter sent to Texas State Representative Susan King

Finally, I was able to send this letter off to her office. (I've been a little ill) I'm not the most articulate person, but I hope she gets the point. Dear Ms. King, Ban Donkey Ball Organizations I'd like to know how to best offer you information for you to consider. I have a petition that I started to try to stop a fundraising event in Merkel last weekend. The petition was successful (almost 2000 signatures), but it did not stop the event. However, I believe it educated many people around the world. We have raised the bar to try to ban these organizations from existing. I hope you will tell me what I can do to help put an end to them. Please read further to understand the cause. Donkey basketball consists of teams yanking /pulling, seating over weight limit people on donkeys and hitting the unwilling donkeys to get them to the basket on a very slick basketball court. Donkeys have died from broken legs! To help prevent donkey waste on the floor food and water are withheld during the day. The donkeys are unwilling to participate and therefore very stressed. That can cause them to kick and bite. How is any of this fun for them? Folks are so desensitized from the funny cartoons of stubborn donkeys that they don't think of them as God's creatures. These fundraisers are typically done in schools, so they are teaching our youth that it is alright and even fun to torture animals. Please help me help you to put an end to this atrocity.
