Dear resident and fellow sufferers of Rendall and Rittner syndrome

Thanks for your amazing support! The petition is now approaching 2,600 signatures from residents of around 100 developments 'managed' by Rendall and Rittner. This sends the strongest possible message to Rendall and Rittner that residents will not suffer in silence as our service charges are hiked way beyond inflation in return for poor service and appalling communications. It is clear that Rendall and Rittner are making a great deal of money on electricity and gas commissions, as well as making 40% profits on insurance via their 'captive companies' scheme which are coming under increasing pressure  from the Financial Conduct Authority, which is now forcing managing agents to come clean on these hidden commissions.

Over the last year I have been contacted by a great number of residents and residents' associations and shared experiences, stories and strategies for residents to regain control of their developments. Several developments have gone on to use their Right to Manage and removed Rendall and Rittner from their developments.

I am a resident at Chelsea Bridge Wharf and was in effect forced to close this popular and successful petition or to leave the residents' association committee when the Chair (Mr Stephen Thompson) banned petitions and complaints against Rendall and Rittner , in September 2021. This followed a complaint about the petition from Richard Daver, a Rendall and Rittner director and Mr Daver's statement that he would not work with me because of the petition. In this way, Rendall and Rittner are interfering in the residents' association at Chelsea Bridge Wharf  and this is deeply unethical behaviour in my view and I suspect the same strategies are being used at other residents' associations. Mr Matt Rittner, Rendall and Rittner Director and co-founder has also tried to have this petition closed by complaining (unsucessfully) to Change.org. It is nice to have this confirmation of the impact of the petition and how concerned Rendall and Rittner are about it.

After leaving the CBWRA committee I tried to move towards Right to Manage but these efforts were (temporarily) frustrated by the Chelsea Bridge Wharf Residents Association, which continues to misinform residents about the law regarding Right to Manage, stating that the supreme Court judgement of First Port v Settlers Court prevents Right to Manage at Chelsea Bridge Wharf. This is nonsense, as the judgement has NO RELEVANCE to Right to Manage at Chelsea Bridge Wharf as independent advice clearly shows https://tinyurl.com/28dht6ya

My account on the CBW 'app' was closed by the Chair, apparently for stating that Right to Manage was possible which was called 'misleading information'. No evidence was provided. This is the third time the Chair (Mr Stephen Thompson) has closed my CBW app account and I am sure this is no way related to the fact that I have repeatedly called for resident consultation, democracy, transparency and proper governance in the CBWRA committee and that I stood against him as Chair in 2021.

In failed states and dictatorships, 'leaders' who cannot compete on policies, ideas, evidence, argument or personality must resort to trying to silence or deplatform opposing or critical voices.

If you are a CBW resident see here for further details. https://chelseabridgewharf.org.uk/2022/10/08/whats-happening-at-cbw-the-30-second-summary/

Right to Manage for the whole development at Chelsea Bridge Wharf IS therefore possible, indeed it is the only way that residents can gain the right to choose the managing agent at CBW and other developments.
