Rename the Baltic Sea to Lake Nato in Honor of Our Defense Treaty

Das Problem

We believe it's crucial for all of us to demonstrate our pride and support for NATO. Our collective commitment to safety has brought together countries around the World, achieving remarkable progress in securing peace and stability. The recent success of Finland and Sweden joining NATO has made the Baltic Sea more secure than ever.

In recognition of this achievement, We propose that we change the name of the Baltic Sea to Lake NATO. This symbolic act will serve as a testament to our unity against oppression and a display of strength that reflects NATO's role in maintaining peace.

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) was established with a commitment towards collective defense (source: NATO official website). Today, it includes 31 (+ Sweden) member countries working together for mutual protection. The inclusion of Finland and Sweden further strengthens this alliance.

Renaming the Baltic Sea will not only honor these commitments but also serve as a powerful symbol against any form of oppression. It will remind every citizen living along its coastlines about their nations' collective strength under NATO.

Let's show our pride in what we've achieved so far by renaming the Baltic Sea as Lake NATO! Sign this petition today!
