Hello friends.

In the West Midlands, there are now seven new councils following the UK local elections.

These seven councils have a 49% share in Birmingham Airport, and a number councillors of all parties support this overwhelmingly positive move for the second city.

If you are a West Midlands taxpayer, you can find your local councillor on gov.uk and ask them if they are backing the Ozzy Airport Campaign. If they are not, ask for an explanation as to why they are turning down desperately needed tourism money on your behalf - given that UK music tourism is worth £10 billion. I have included a template you can use below!

You can see and share my full statement here.

I am looking forward to hitting 78, 000 signatures later today!

Speak soon,

Dan

Dear Cllr X, congratulations on your election / re-election.

According to UK Music’s Hometown Glory report, UK music tourism was worth £10 billion in 2024 (with 2025’s figures yet to be released)

With nearly 80, 000 people around the world backing the international campaign to rename Birmingham Airport after Ozzy Osbourne, can I count on you to do whatever is in your power to help get this campaign over the line?

I’m sure you can agree that the West Midlands councils are in no position to be turning down lucrative tourism money.

You can see the petition at ozzyairport.com

Thanks

Dan
