First, I want to clarify that although Michael is listed as the one to initially share the petition, I am only using his name because I am worried about possible repercussions for speaking out publicly myself. Please do not harass or blame Michael for this.

Anyways, regarding the issue itself, I want to point out that if you are a man, the new uniform policy may not seem like it affects you very much. However, that is exactly part of the problem. The fact that these changes have such a major impact on women while barely affecting men highlights the inequality and sexism that still exist within school dress expectations and social norms.

Even if the policy does not personally affect you, that does not mean it should be ignored. Choosing not to care simply because it does not impact you directly only allows unfair treatment to continue. Supporting this petition is about standing up for fairness and recognizing that school policies should affect students equally and respectfully. And if it can't do that, then there shouldn't be policies like that at all.
