Hello everyone, happy April 1st! With lots of people having their state championships tomorrow, I thought we could take a moment and reflect how these sports (guard, winds, percussion) have changed our lives. A moment to reflect on our lives. Guard has given me a new chance at life this season. I was bedridden last year for some time and guard was a huge part of my recovery. Without guard, I’d still be the 21 year old not able to take a shower without someone in the room or a shower chair. Without guard, I wouldn’t remember to take care of myself on those days where the brain fog is real and I don’t remember if I ate or took my medicine. Guard has given me a second chance at life and I couldn’t have asked for a better group to help me through the worst days, but also be there for the best days. Take a moment today to celebrate an accomplishment, no matter how big or how small. In that moment, share your thoughts with others and share this as well.
