PANUKU DEVELOPMENT UPDATE "King Street temporary upgrade – to be removed Over the past weeks, we have received a huge amount feedback on the changes being trialled on King Street. Thank you to everyone who took the time to tell us what is working, what isn’t, and how we can make it better. Panuku has listened to this feedback and in the coming weeks King Street will be reinstated as a two-way street. Work to remove the one-way is planned to commence on Tuesday 8 June and is expected to take around one week to complete, weather dependent. Work will take place at night. Some road paint will stay in place. This could be used to widen the footpath for events or pop-up outdoor dining occasions in the summer months. In the interim, the painted parts of the road can be used for parking. Panuku will also work with the Pukekohe Business Association on other ways to increase the vibrancy and attractiveness of lower King Street."
