HISD 2025 School Board Election

The TEA's oversight of Houston ISD will conclude in June 2027, with local control beginning to return in 2026 through the reinstatement of some elected trustees. This makes the November 2025 School Board Election critically important.

A group of five candidates is running collectively for seats on the HISD School Board. If elected, they will hold a majority, significantly shaping the future direction of the district.
