Houston ISD officials announced teachers who were to be compensated with a stipend bonus of $1,000-$2,000 will no longer receive the bonuses posted in their 2023-2024 compensation plans.

In an email on Thursday, the district cited "budget constraints" as the reason for retracting the funds.
