Senate bill S.1071 to disinter Fernando Cota was introduced in March. It UNANIMOUSLY passed in August. NO DEMOCRATS OBJECTED.

Senate Bill S.2807 (Teresa’s Law) The RESPECT Act, was introduced in September to make sure this never happens again. PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE.
