Dear All,
hope this finds you well. Thanks for your support to date for this petition. However, it is vital that we keep going so please try to encourage as many other people to sign this petition so that we can make a stronger case to the current incompetent and arrogant MINORITY council administration.
We have had a lot of people viewing the petition but this has not been reflected in the number of signatures. If we don’t push this then we are going to have to face consequences of more congested roads, more dangerous roads and more bizarre road designs.
Since the last update I have been on BBC Radio Scotland on several occasions over the past year arguing against cycle lanes. We are therefore getting some media publicity but need to do more. Collectively we can be stronger. Why should we not mobilise the way the climate change fanatics do?
Remember: if anyone wants to contact me directly to explore how we can do more on this issue please feel free to email at:

I have in the background been sending emails to various stakeholders to keep the pressure on but of course it would be helpful if we can get the petition more widely circulated and if you can all continue to draw attention to the issue through your own circles and keep sharing the petition. We need to encourage people to be more pro-active. The motoring community is big but we are not throwing enough of that weight around. Our day to day routines and lives are being disrupted by the continual attack on those who exercise their right to own and drive their car. For almost all of us, our cars are an essential part of our lives.
Ask yourself, are you willing to accept the following:
· Horrendous parking charges for on-street parking
· Needless permanent closure of certain roads and streets in Glasgow
· Possible expansion of ULEZ to other parts of Glasgow
· More underused and dangerous cycle lanes that worsen congestion, and endanger the safety of both pedestrians and motorists.
Let’s be more pro-active and stand up for our democratic right to have our voices and concerns heard.
Thanks
Abid
