3,150+ signatures are now in front of Cornell's Board of Trustees

Hi everyone,
Cornell's Board of Trustees now has this petition. We wrote to them directly and made them the decision maker, because only the Board can decide who leads Cornell. They know 3,150+ people are watching.
Here's what's happening around them. Cornell's Faculty Senate is moving ahead with its no-confidence vote, with voting through Nov. 6, and faculty rejected a motion to wait until the independent investigation is finished. That's courage, and it's because students kept speaking up.
Here's where our asks stand:
✅ Independent review. Cornell agreed to one, and faculty won't wait on it to act. We asked the Board to publish its findings and to report publicly on how Cornell handles these cases going forward.
⚖️ Justice for Jane Doe. Attorney General Letitia James is the special prosecutor on the criminal case.
❌ Accountability at the top. President Kotlikoff is still in office, and the trustees still back him. Twenty female science and engineering faculty have asked them to remove him. We asked the Board to remove him, or explain publicly why they won't.
❌ Chi Phi. Cornell has barred the chapter from campus, but its charter is only "dormant," which means it could come back. We asked the Board to make the bar permanent, and Chi Phi's national organization to revoke the charter for good.
The faculty vote is symbolic. It doesn't name him, and only the trustees can decide. That's why this petition matters. It's aimed at the people with the power to act.
We asked the Board for a written response by Friday, Nov. 13. We'll share what we hear back, or the silence.
This is bigger than one president. If we want systemic, institutional change, Cornell has to be the blueprint for it. A school with Cornell's name and resources that handles sexual assault with transparency and accountability shows every university what's possible. If it doesn't, every other school gets to point to Cornell and say nothing has to change.
Please keep sharing, and email the Board: trustees@cornell.edu
