The DA has reopened the case. Now the Board must act.

The Tompkins County District Attorney announced he is reopening the alleged gang rape case and plans to present it to a grand jury.

Here's what should outrage everyone: the DA says he relied on Cornell Police's investigation, and the group chat described in the lawsuit never reached his office. The survivor's attorney says Cornell Police had those messages in 2024.

That means the failures go beyond lenient discipline. Cornell's own police department may have let critical evidence sit.
