- We, the residents of Wadala, wish to draw your urgent attention to the alarming situation at Wadala 4 Rasta, where multiple BMC garbage dustbins have been dumped and left unattended.
- The improper placement and accumulation of these dustbins have resulted in severe public nuisance, including:
- Overflowing garbage and foul stench
- Mosquito and pest breeding
- Unhygienic and unsafe conditions for pedestrians, commuters, and nearby residents
- Increased risk of diseases such as Dengue, Malaria, and Chikungunya, especially affecting children and senior citizens
- Obstruction to traffic and daily movement in a busy junction like Wadala 4 Rasta
- Despite the area being a prominent and heavily used public road, no effective action has been taken to relocate the dustbins or ensure scientific waste management, which is a clear violation of the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016 and amounts to public nuisance under Section 268 of the IPC.
- We request the concerned authorities to:
- Immediately remove or relocate the garbage dustbins from Wadala 4 Rasta
- Ensure regular cleaning, disinfection, and mosquito control in the area
- Take strict action against negligence by the responsible department
- Provide a written update on the action taken
- We hope the authorities will treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves in the interest of public health and safety. In case of continued inaction, we will be constrained to escalate the issue to higher authorities and statutory bodies.
- Kindly acknowledge receipt of this complaint and share the complaint reference number.
- Thanking you,
- Yours sincerely,
- Concerned Residents of Wadala
