We are past one-hundred supporters! This is a very important cause, and I love all the support, but this isn't for me. It's for this culture, the children, the victims of abuse and for everyone born into these circumstances of this culture who aren't afforded the basic human rights that are theirs by birthright. One can follow the Amish faith without being a slave to it. Unfortunately, this culture has adopted an ingrained policy that children are property and when they are born, it is their responsibility to work and provide for their family, while their options for education and safety are ignored. Sexual abuse, dangerous work conditions, sparse affection, intermittent medical and dental treatments if any and a slew of other issues deserve to be addressed from this culture. 

Religious freedom does not give you the right to deny your children basic human rights and the Amish have abused and manipulated the Wisconsin v Yoder (1972) law that permits them to keep children at home after 8th grade. That is also just a number, because these children aren't getting an 8th grade education, and it's time we stop overlooking this marginal society and giving the culture, as a whole, more rights than any other culture who also claim Christianity.
