URGENT DEMAND FOR FEDERAL ACTION: REMOVE 586,000 UNSAFE HYUNDAI PALISADES FROM U.S. ROADS BEFORE A NATIONAL TRAGEDY OCCURS

We, the undersigned, call on the United States Government and federal safety regulators to immediately intervene and enforce the removal of 586,000 Hyundai Palisade vehicles (model years 2020–2024) from public roads until safety-critical recall defects are repaired and full federal compliance is restored.

 

Grounds for Alarm: Safety and Property Rights Violation
 

This recall — NHTSA 25V607000 — involves critical safety failures associated with the seat belt system (risk of overheating/malfunction during a crash event). The issue has been officially open since September 11, 2025, meaning Hyundai has had over two months to develop and provide a remedy.

Despite the established risk and prolonged inaction, Hyundai dealerships across the United States continue to illegally sell, advertise, and deliver affected vehicles in violation of the federal Stop-Sale mandate.

This constitutes a dual violation:

Safety Violation: Deliberate sale of potentially dangerous transportation despite the issue being known since September 11, 2025.
Property Rights Violation: The dealership unlawfully retains a buyer's fully paid, registered, and insured property, representing a direct restriction on the free sale and possession of property.
