Update:
April 26, 2024 - The court reconvened to receive an update on the investigation. Police authorities informed the court that they are awaiting the results of blood samples from Colombo and requested an extension to address any pending matters. The three suspects are yet to be charged as investigation is ongoing.  However, the presiding judge was absent today. Acting Judge Honorable Ms. Shalini has rescheduled the hearing for May 31, 2024
