As of today, the full series of Win or Lose has been released, with the final two episodes, including Kai's, having dropped today. IMO the show is phenomenal and ranks among Pixar's finest work, but that's besides the point.
Despite Kai's episode still being censored/edited in terms of the transgender aspects, it may bring you some comfort to know that those themes are still subtly present beneath the surface, albeit now in a more allegorical and implied sense than originally intended. Furthermore, I've already started seeing lots of fanart and mentions of Kai that still identify her as trans, as she was always intended to be, and it has warmed my heart.
While it may seem like we've lost the battle here, I will not concede defeat. I will continue to do whatever necessary to ensure Disney does not forget the mistake they made, nor should they be allowed to, and I will keep putting the pressure on them until hopefully, someday, however far away that may be, that they'll reconsider and release the original cut of Kai's story as it was originally intended.
Until then, thank you all for all of your support, and here's hoping the flame never dies out!
