We, the international fans of the film "Young Hearts", are writing to you to celebrate the beautiful story of Elias and Alexander. This film has touched many of us deeply with its honest, tender, and uplifting portrayal of first love and self-discovery. It is a rare gem in the coming-of-age genre that resonates with audiences across generations.
However, as much as we cherish the theatrical version, we simply cannot get enough of this world. We believe there is more to the story of Elias and Alexander than what made the final cut.
Our Request:
We respectfully ask for the release of an Extended Version (Director’s Cut)
Why this matters:
Character Depth: The chemistry between the leads is palpable. Fans are eager to see any moments of their bonding, conversations, or quiet interactions that were left on the cutting room floor due to runtime constraints.
Lasting Impact: Even now, well after its release, the film continues to find new audiences. Additional content would revitalize the conversation around the movie and offer a new experience for loyal fans.
Preservation: Providing a fuller picture of Anthony Schatteman’s vision serves the artistic legacy of this important LGBTQ+ film.
