What a day! It is unbelievable to think that we are so close to one million signatures in less than a week of the petition starting! 

As some of you may have seen we did a surprise live video via change.org which can be seen on Facebook. Please can you all share this onto your social media and help boost awareness. 

So today I met with Chris Mundy, Managing Director of Clearcast and I felt that the meeting was really positive and gave me a chance to discuss why I started the petition and what we all as a collective want to achieve. Clearcast have stated their their hands are tied because they believe it is too closely aligned to Greenpeace and with evidence that they are a non-political, they cannot approve it. I feel we need to explore different options to help get the advert onto our screens including with organisations involved and looking at whether regulation reform is needed. I will be calling on your support when we do! 

Chris and Clearcast understand that the importance of this add and I feel from speaking to them they agree with the powerful message that the advert is giving and I feel that part of the reason why their hands are tied is that there may need to be a change in the law and I look forward to investigating further how we do this.

It is important for now to maintain the momentum and get this petition to one million signatures by sharing on Facebook and tweeting as you have already been doing. I decided one way of doing this is by casting Rang-tan on Clearcast's offices here!

I want to thank you all once again for your support and without you all we wouldn’t be raising as much awareness of palm oil, the orang-utans and deforestation as we are! We are in news reports and outlets all over the world and I feel this is really going to help set a precedent for change and about ensuring palm oil is sustainable sourced!
